Visit to Saint-Briac sur Mer in Ille-et-Vilaine

Situated in Saint-Briac-sur-mer, you can visit this village during your holiday at camping l’Émeraude. Saint-Briac, a former seafarers’ village, nicknamed the “pearl” of the Emerald Coast, has preserved its old quarters with narrow streets and a special charm around its church (listed 17th century bell tower). For your summer holidays with the whole family, opt for a holiday rental by the sea not far from the fine sandy beaches, dunes and creeks where surfing and lazing around are legion.

Saint-Briac-sur-mer: must-see activities

  • Family bathing on the supervised beaches of Port Hue and La Salinette, or on the wilder beaches of Le Perron, Port aux Chevaux or Le Bechey.
  • Walks on the painters’ path, which partly follows the customs path, to discover the natural sites of the Briacin area which inspired the greatest artists of the 19th century: the Pointe de la Garde Guérin, Agot Island, the Frémur mudflat or Perron Island.
  • The Dinard golf course, with its listed clubhouse and its historic course, each of its 18 holes offering a unique view of the sea. On the Emerald balcony, the very family-friendly mini-golf course at Saint-Briac also benefits from an exceptional setting facing the bay.
  • Nautical activities at the Saint-Briac Yacht Club: sailing courses, kayak trips in the Frémur estuary and between the peninsulas, as well as paddles and canoes for hire by the hour, for two hours, or for half a day.
  • The discovery of the built heritage of Saint-Briac: the parish church and its double gallery bell tower, the Providence building and its mosaic decoration, or the Nessay castle, built in the heart of a listed natural site.

Coastline and beaches in Saint-Briac-sur-Mer

Take advantage of your stay to indulge in your favourite activities on the most beautiful beaches of the Emerald Coast.

  • Pointe de la Garde-Guérin: The beach of La Garde is appreciated for its “confidential” atmosphere, making it particularly popular with holidaymakers looking for a peaceful place to relax and enjoy the sun. The point is however marked by strong currents which make swimming difficult.
  • Grande Salinette Beach: Located at the foot of the Nessay castle and surrounded by typical beach huts, the Grande Salinette beach offers a breathtaking view of the bay of Saint-Briac-sur-Mer. This family beach, which has been awarded the Blue Flag, offers a number of activities for children in the summer, and bathing is supervised at the same time. It also has a sailing school.
  • Plage du Perron : Located below the pointe de la Haye, the Perron beach offers a peaceful and preserved setting. However, it is not supervised. In any case, the site allows you to reach the Ile du Perron at low tide.
